my daughter was always very manipulative. I didn;’t have a solid marriage for may years but once the children grew up and the pressure was off us we did develop a deep relationship. That was until my daughters marriage broke up. I became her outlet for anger once again. One time her then estranged husband bought the children back sooner that expected.

As my daughter wasn’t home he bought them to our house. Yes I had had a few drinks although not drunk. My husband had had an afternoon nap and I had opened up a bottle of wine and was sitting listening to my favourite music. The next thing I knew was my husband yelling at me because I had been drinking. I think that episode had a profound effect on me. I was at a stage where I thought my relationship with my husband was starting to grow and now because of my daughters interference and her anger over her failed marriage I was almost back to square one. I have had problems ever since with drinking. As a christian this is something I really struggle with.
