My Beautiful Mother

My mother was diagnosed with AML Leukemia on June 3, and passed away on June 30. It has been a terrible and horrific shock for all of us.

She never had one sign of Leukemia nad has always kept herself very fit.

THe disease took over her though. She was given a chemotherapy drug called mylotarg, which then created many infections and caused her breatthing to go so bad we put her on a respirator knowing there was not going to be any draw of the luck that would keep her alive on her own.

She is missed very deeply.

  • RIP - by BLI - (Thu, Oct 30 2008)
One of my friends that I have known since childhood was called home on 10/27/08. He had epilepsy and apparently was trying to get upstairs to his mother in between or either after a seizure Unfortunately, he hit his head on a dresser and ultimately died. No one knows how long he was lying on the ground or even if he suffered. Anyway, this is a very tragic loss and I sympathize with anyone who suffers from this awful disease. My friend was only 29 and has 2 young children and one on the way. Please pray for his family. [more..]
