To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download 34 and living with Emphysema! I quit smoking. I was just diagnosed with copd 2 months ago. I quit smoking as soon as i looked at my chest x-ray. I just turned 34 and i feel better than i ever did since i quit the dirty habbit. I found after smoking a pack and a half since i was 13 yrs old. I never really had severe withdrawls. At all. 2 dreams and that’s it. I stay away from all forms of smoke now. I am booked in with my first specialist this May 10/ 07. Hope i get better news than the dr. who showed me my x-rays. My breathing climbing stairs seems better for now since i quit. Still seems like a bad dream some days. Just lost my mom to a heart attack a month before. My advice is for anyone struggling with the disease. Think positive. Be active and thank God for every moment on earth. Embrace and be brave. There are people out there way worse off than most of us. God Bless those and Pray each day. Having some feedback would really help since my support is now gone. Comments
